The guard's eyes narrowed. "I am here to take you both into custody. The authorities have had enough of your antics."

Lior rose to his feet, his hand instinctively reaching for Astaroth's. "No, you can't take him. We have a future together."

The guard stepped forward, his hand on his sword. "This is not a game, Lior. You are risking your life by standing with a demon."

Astaroth's form grew more menacing, his eyes glowing with an inner fire. "Then let them come. I will not let him be taken from me."

A battle ensued, the room shattering as Astaroth's powers clashed with the guard's. Lior fought alongside his lover, his heart pounding in his chest. The guard was skilled, but Astaroth was a force of nature, and soon, the guard was forced to retreat.
