When Shadows Dance: A Love Unseen

The night was as dark as the shadows that danced in the corners of their shared apartment. Li, a brilliant virologist, was hunched over his microscope, the only light in the room coming from the cold, blue glow of the lens. Across the room, his lover, Zhen, lay on the couch, his eyes closed, the faintest of breaths the only sound that broke the silence.

Li's fingers danced across the keyboard, his mind racing with data and theories. The virus had spread like wildfire, and he was the only one who seemed to have a clue about how to stop it.
